Where Curiosity Led

I began my college career in veterinary science but found that physics and math sparked my curiosity the most. One of my friends suggested I look into engineering as a field of study, and from there, I quickly found a fascination with acoustics. My school did not offer an acoustics program, so I chose to study electrical engineering to build a solid understanding of sound and vibration. Along the way, I took additional courses, like machine shop and statics, which deepened my interest in materials and structural engineering. Today, my diverse background and love for learning give me a well-rounded perspective on every project I undertake.

El Amor de Idiomas

I grew up in a Spanish-speaking household and picked up English as a second language pretty quickly. I became the go-to translator, helping my parents with everything from documents to conversations. I grew to love languages and went on to study French and Italian as well. Bridging communication gaps to make the world easier to navigate for my family and others has always been important to me. One of my favorite books, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, introduced me to the Babel Fish, a universal translator used in the story to cross language barriers. While the Babel Fish may only exist in fiction, it’s fun to think of it as a potential future project.
