Turning Noise Into Opportunity

My path to acoustics began with a subject most of  us experience everyday: noise pollution. The first time I learned about the real effects noise pollution has on all of us, from our physical and mental health to changing the environment around us at large, I was intrigued. But it wasn’t until I was on the lookout for a job after graduation that I learned there was a way I could positively impact the way we experience this issue. My colleagues were a great support to me as I began at Salter, many of them working on projects that I admire. And even now I’m eager to keep learning from the senior staff as I consult on a variety of projects like residences, libraries, offices, theaters, and recreational spaces. I am excited to improve the experience of those around me in the places they live, work and play.

Jack of All Trades

I find myself intrigued by lots of things and am the type of person to pick up and go through different hobbies very rapidly. The list of interests I pursue is long, and includes activities like crocheting, rubberstamp making, whittling, collecting secondhand CDs and cameras, and shooting 35mm or Super 8 film. However, the interest that I hold most dear is music. My instrument of choice is the guitar, so I am always willing to join others in singing and playing music.
