The Big Picture
Whether it’s a project in environmental noise or construction noise management, I always look for a new twist on common problems. I find satisfaction knowing that an environment will be more peaceful and functional thanks to my team’s recommendations. Sound impacts all of us, and I am committed to improving the quality of life through a whole-systems approach of acoustics, sustainability, and green building design. After studying acoustics as an Undergraduate in Chicago, I worked on the Residential Sound Insulation Program by day and played in a band by night. I then moved to New York to pursue a Master’s degree in Sustainability, collaborating with leading architects and engineers to tackle some of society’s greatest environmental resource challenges.
In high school, I got hooked on acoustics through my involvement in technical theater. In my free time, I play bass guitar and explore different parts of the world. I traveled for over two years before joining the team at Salter, and it humbled me to see that there are many ways to complete the same task. In the end, it’s all about putting forth your best effort with an open mind and the willingness to learn something new with each experience. Starting at Salter’s San Francisco office, I now lead the Hawai’i office in Honolulu. Of all the places I visited, I will never forget the beaches of Indonesia and the mountains of Nepal.
