Chabot College Library and Learning Connections Center

The Chabot College Library and Learning Connections Center is a 100,000-square-foot, academic hub designed to support student learning and community engagement. Salter consulted on the acoustics and provided design services for the audiovisual, telecommunications, and security systems, which play a vital role in supporting student success by fostering clear communication, ease of access to academic resources, and seamless collaboration.

The center includes traditional study and reading spaces, over 2,000 square feet of meeting and event space, flexible collaboration zones, areas for the English as a Second Language (ESL) and the Writing and Reading Across the Curriculum (WRAC) programs, and IT/computer training labs. This $91 million project reflects Chabot College’s commitment to inclusive learning environments with a space that facilitates the path to education for students of different backgrounds and needs.
