After 33 years with Salter, we bid a fond farewell to Ken Graven as he steps into retirement. Ken began his career with Salter in acoustics but transitioned to be an audiovisual designer. From there, he became a guiding force for our Low-Voltage Technology group. As a leader, Ken provided mentorship and insight to the rest of the team, fostering an atmosphere of innovation and unwavering support.

Ken’s body of work is diverse, but he specialized in courthouses, civic spaces, performance halls, universities and offices. Some of his noteworthy projects include Music Box (formerly Anthology) and Chabot College Library & Learning Connections Center.

While we will greatly miss Ken’s presence and expertise, we are thrilled to see him embrace the next chapter in his journey—continuing his lifelong passion for music as a singer/songwriter, band leader, and saxophonist. Please join us in celebrating Ken’s incredible legacy at Salter and wishing him a well-earned retirement filled with music, creativity, and joy.
