Making the Technical Practical
I have been with Salter since 1996 and my domain includes architectural acoustics, environmental noise mitigation, and noise and vibration control. My most memorable projects include concert halls, theaters, high schools, film studios, housing projects, and worship spaces seating up to 1,500 people. Clients especially appreciate my ability to communicate highly technical information through the context of direct experience, thanks to my personal background in the performing arts.
Inspired by Relationships
I grew up singing in the San Francisco Boy’s Chorus and playing string bass in the San Francisco Youth Symphony. When it came time to choose a career, I knew if I couldn’t play in top performing art centers, I wanted to design them. This brought me to intern at Salter with plans to continue onto graduate school. One day my mentor pulled me into the Salter library and said, “See all these books? You can go to school to read these or you can stay here and read these. If you continue working at Salter, you’ll end up way more advanced than your peers.” The rest is history. Today, I’m still invigorated by the knowledge sharing that happens within our team, especially among top industry experts in every niche. I walk into work happy to see my colleagues each day, and that’s what makes Salter the professional home for me.
