Exploratorium
San Francisco, CA
The Exploratorium is San Francisco’s esteemed public learning laboratory for exploring the world through science, art, and human perception. We provided acoustical consulting for the $300 million dollar renovation covering 230,000 square feet and meeting rigorous LEED Platinum certification standards. The new museum includes a 250-seat theater and classrooms on Piers 15-17. The Exploratorium opened in 2013 as the world’s largest net-zero museum by offsetting its energy use with solar panels, a bay water heating and cooling system, and other green features.
