Salter’s New Brand

A Fresh New Look for The Future:
Introducing The New Salter Brand and Website

The Brand
We worked with Adrienne Eberhardt Creative to design an artful and distinctive brand that is effective across signage, collateral, web, and print. Our new mark represents the balance of our work in acoustics, audiovisual, telecommunications, and security.

Inspiration
The concept behind the new brand drew inspiration from the kinetic art movement and artists including Alexander Calder, Yaacov Agam, and Jean Arp.

Exploration
Drawing on the existing primary colors of the Salter brand, we explored a variety of forms that represent sound, vibration, and transmission graphically.

Application
Our new business cards are letterpress printed on a beautiful Strathmore Ultimate White Wove paper. We used a pearlescent foil to echo the shapes of the logo on both the stationery and business cards, also serving as a digital watermark throughout all our collateral.

Website
From the initial brainstorming to the final launch, lowercase productions led us through the design process: wireframes to rapid prototyping, user experience followed by user testing, digital design, programming, and content transfer. Using a portfolio approach, common to AEC firms, the design showcases Salter’s project experience, team members, and case stories, reflecting our company’s culture. The site also incorporates new features including a “message us” widget, make-a-book content collection tool, and an interactive timeline of Salter’s firm history.
